go back and read the agreement you signed.  since you have listed this in insurance, I assume it is either an auto or house, or life policy.  In that case most times you will be refunded the amount  (less the days that the policy was in effect.)  ask the company, or your agent to assure that you are indeed cancelled, and that you want to be refunded your payment.  If , however, you subscribed to some type of phone, or internet service, you will have to pay a penalty for early cancellation
