  1. Great answers, I would only add that a "TIme On Target" TOT isn't actually that difficult.  I know where I am, how far it is to my target, and when I need to be there.  I adjust (well I beat my pilot over the head to adjust) groundspeed to arrive "on time, on target".  What helped in the "old days" was using a groundspeed easily divisible by 60 to give me miles/minute.  So many minutes/seconds fast, I slow down; late I speed up.  Routinely flying out to Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, for exercises, we would arrive +/- 15 seconds of our stated TOT...

  2. There is someone on the ground with a radio who gives them the time hack. They know how long it will take from their holding area to the stadium. So, X number of seconds before the end of the anthem, they know to begin their pass.

It's perfectly timed and takes coordination and planning.

  3. they circle around the arena and wait til someone radios in to go across the arena

  4. our troops in the military, pilots in the air force are just that awesome.

  5. One time I was at a college football game and there was a guy in an Airforce flight suit coordinating the timing of the flyover from the roof of the field house.  I believe that is how they do the timing.
