    From the experience of a friend's wife - no.

    They set up exactly this type of shop but had to close as they could not compete with the supermarkets etc.

    Also a lot of clothes are being bought on eBay (our son's wife is addicted to it for her 2 kids clothes!!!!) as the kids grow out of them before they are worn out.

    Location, location, location is the all important thing for a retail store.   Hope you have got a good site lined up.  

    Then price, price, price!  Especially as the country is going into recession this year!

  2. Any shop has to turn over a large sum of money every week just to stay viable. I see a lot come and go because they do not have enough turn over. It can be tough.
