  1. Carry lots of 4/3 suits and weatherproof skate parts.

  2. sell a wide variety of boards preferably shaped by a local with knowledge of the area, hold lots of sales regularly.

most of all hire friendly staff. throw a free block of wax or some stickers to good customers, free stuff will bring them back, good luck with it.

  3. sell a variety of boards and thicker wet suits

    good luck :)

  4. THICK WETSUITS!!!!

In Washington?!??!!!??!?!? Random... and kind of a dumb idea. You should open one in like SoCal....

  5. I am moving near there and love to surf, so I might stop by some time lol.

  6. Give people a reason to go there and come back. Some skate shops actually have mini pipes and almost all surfshops play surf videos all day. Some even hold events which is great advertisement. Others help out in the community to raise puplic awareness of surf-related issues. - also great publicity. Hire people that know what they are talking about and can walk the walk, not just a bunch of poser that can talk the talk but drown once you throw them in the water. Take photos of local surfers and post them on your website, they will love this!
