Opening ceremony beijing, when is it? and will we see greece passing down the torch or whatever...

Opening ceremony is on August 8.  Greece will not be passing down any torch...they already did that when the torch was lit at OLYMPIA.  Since that time, the torch has been passed to hundreds of people.  Who knows who will light the flame at the opening ceremony????  But it won't be a  Greek.  

Rest assured, however,  that the first country in the parade of nations will be GREECE!!!!!!!!!!!

yes it will be at 8pm china time on friday the 8th of august.... and i think this may the last time the torch will have its run from olympia.the olympic committie is considering not letting the torch do its long journeys as we know it has done through so many countries to get to its destination..and this all due to the protest that chinnese run has encountred all over the world from tibetian protesters .they the commitee feel that the olympic spirit should not be a platform for  current or past politics to laucnh from or cause a disturbance.. as the idea of the olympics was to lay down weapons and diffrences..which it has been apart from the munich olympics in 1972.so the committies point is the flame will be lit just before any future games start and it will be flown overnight to its destination.hence not giving a platform to protesters and terrorsit propaganda.. but all that is not yet decided it was only  the thoughts the committie have so far...i guess it will be put to a world vote..if decided.
