  2. Your Answer:

First begin by what motivated the English to come there take the actions that they did. Explain what was happening in the country and the differences before John Smith and other crews traveled to Jamestown and Virginia and the Pilgrims to Plymouth. Include how the King and British society felt towards the Pilgrims and their religion and also the chance to conquer the Northwest, meaning our nation or at least some lad of it. Have something like, " One is a legendary mystery, to the world, lost among us, and with it's secrets taken to the grave. The other embarked on the beginning of our beliefs, our values (thinking of thanksgiving here, and unity of people) and the rebellion which our society would come to be." That is my own quotation. It lets you know that, " wow, how different yet similar they are" in an intriguing way. Have what they did for the world at the time. Meaning, cause and effect: What happened and what caused it.Just giving ideas. Be general but see it as if you're telling a story. You begin and not spill all the juicy stuff until you get to the next paragraph. It helps big time if you see it as if you're the narrator of a legendary tale, trust me. And your doing this for your history teacher right? Whether it's AP or whatever, they like stories. You'll make it easier on yourself and them doing it like this. Plus time, since you're analyzing everything since you know it! Good Luck and whatever you do, don't stress your head out. It will all go smoothly once you get done with the beginning. Just narrate and go with the flow.
