hmm... I have a PNY micro SD 2gb card that I use on my Palm centro... I'm trying to open it on my computer by using the card reader, but for some reason, when I insert it in the computer, nothing happens... I'm not sure why my computer won't recognize it? the instructions given by PNY do not say anything about this issue... does anyone know what's wrong? and if so, how can I fix it... thanks

  1. Go into windows explorer (clicking on start then my computer in xp, windows logo then computer in vista) and it will come up with a list of things on your computer (including external drives).  If your drive is plugged in correctly and your computer is recognizing the device, it should be listed in this menu, along with your hard drive and your back up drive (if you have one) and your dvd drive (if you have one).  If the device is not listed, your computer does not recognize the micro sd card.  Make sure the sd card is NOT set to lock, as this will stop data transfer from occuring.  If this doesn't solve your problem, you might have an issue with your SD card reader; try reinstalling the drivers from your computer manufacturer's website.
