Question:

Opening my mouth after jaw surgery?

I recently had jaw surgery, about three weeks ago, to correct my bite. I have rubberbands on my braces, but can take them off to eat. I can open my mouth about half an inch, though. Will I be able to open it more as I heal or do I need to forcibly work at it? What is keeping me from being able to open wide anyway?

I don't want to be stuck being unable to open wider than half an inch, so any advice and tips would be appreciated.
