Openoffice is getting on my nerves!! copy and paste?

okay when i copy a text from a website i paste it to openoffice writer. when i do so this weird table comeup with the text in it...like a bunch of columns making this little ugly box. help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. this program is a piece of shlt! You have to navigate yourself amidst a torrent of functions in order to do a basic function such as create a check box.

    Believe me, Microsoft Office is so much better than this travesty of a program, delete the shltty software and spend your money on MS Office--something that actually is simple and has more functions than the p***y program that is OpenOffice


  2. It happens in MS Word too, if I'm right there will be a little box on the down-right corner, click it and you'll see some options (can't remember which) and choose the "Only keep text" (or something).

    I haven't used Open Office, but it should work

  3. I am using Open Office and did a copy and paste many many times with Open Office Writer. Never had any problems.

    Try to copy with  Ctrl V      --     Ctrl C

    Perhaps it works better that way.
