Opera, symphony, theater - Buenos Aires?

I will be in Buenos Aires May 31 - June 2 and June 5-8.

I really would like to see opera, or ballet or listen symphony.

I know that teatro Colon will be closed till 2010. I was looking online but could not find much of anything.

Is there any websites were I could find what is going on in Buenos Aires on those days, were I could get to some see an opera or symphony?

Websites of course can be in spanish.

I would really appreciate your help.

  1. I know that some Colon functions will be held at Bristol Theatre in Martinez, about 30 minutes from downtown. It´s  asmall theatre though, and it´s not very attractive or nearly reminiscent of the Colon. it´s more like a small twom theatre (though Martinez is not a small town anymore!)

You can check the cultural sections of la Nacion newspaper, Clarin or the english speaking Buenos Aires Herald.
