OperaTor, UltraSurf 9.0, My IP, and school filters?

Now, don't tell me not to do any of the following because im going to anyways. but go ahead and leave your insight anyway.

I have UltraSurf 9.0 and OperaTor to bypass my schools filters. I'm not sure if it works, since school hasnt started yet, but thats what im going to use.

i used to use the IP address idea, using ping.exe, but the school caught on, since it keeps logs of sites visited. They use an external filtering software, im assuming from the company in town since i cant find it anywhere.

I want to hide my IP address, (though the school uses "T:" drives in a self contained ID we each have, using the windows software.) So that i cant be tracked, but since they are using an external filtering software, would they be able to trace my IP/ID back when using OperaTor if they dont keep IP/ID logs on each person who site they visited?

Its all a little confusing, but read through it and you should get the idea.

Anyone have a ASCII/URL to HEX to DECIMAL converter software let me know. :)

  1. my school does too, but through the summer i switched 2 of my servers to linux, and talking to a friend whos a linux junkie like me here is what we came up with...

it may require some reading and researching but its solid proof...

the idea is to tunnel through the proxy that monitors the outbound/inbound connections the trick...

install any linux distro, i would recomment ubuntu, then install any SSH program, i would recommdnd OpenSSH... SSH is like a remote tool for linux, just like logmein or pcanywhere but its command line, not visual (dont be scared command line does not bite :P ) when installed configure it to run on port 443 which is SSL (if u dont know what SSL is google it)... the reason being 443 is that all institutions allow SSL for secure sites so the port will never be blocked, ones u have OpenSSH configured grab any SSH remote tool for windows, throw it on ur thumb drive along with firefox (because we roll that way :P )  and run the SSH client at school, connect to ur linux server at home, then open up firefox and configure at the proxy settings to use the gateway of ur home network ie. 192.168.1.1 (or just right click on ur network controler then support tab on ur home PC)

this trick should work up until the point ur school admin blocks ur IP address, the only way to save urself is to use that trick only for personal use and not give it out to the whole school to use, maybe one or 2 friends... and if ur ip address does get blocked, disconnec ur modem for couple of hours and reconnect and ur ISP (cable or not) should give u a new IP address... if thats not reasonable either just get a dynamic dns from no-ip.org and hope ur admin is dumb enough not to do domain name resolve

    enjoy....
