Operating the ps3 dualshock?

how do you update a game on the ps3 so the dualshock works

You start the game. If a screen appears telling you an update is required to play that game, you click OK and wait while it updates. If nothing happens - there's no update available.

the game when you start playing will point out an update for you and it might stick dual shock 3 on or not you don't know until its starts to rumble

when you start the game an writing will come up saying a new update has been found blah blah blah you install and then it's updated. it shouldn't take longer than a minute though for the games that is.
