  1. Which ones do you need help on?  When it comes to addition/subtraction, it's the easiest form of algebra, just add/subtract.  When multiplying, i^2 = (-1).  Not too sure when you divide >_>

  2. Just treat "i" like any other variable initially, add/subtract like terms, FOIL as needed, etc.

    The only difference is that "i" is special in that it's defined to be √(-1)

    So if you have an i², you can substitute "-1" in its place and simplify.

  3. 1=c

    2=b

  4. 1. (-3+i) + (4+6i) = 1+7i

    2. (-4 - 6i) + (-2 - 3i) = -6-9i

    3. (-4 - 6i) + (-2 - 3i)= -6-9i

    4. (-2 + 5i) + (-4 - 2i) = -6+3i

    5. (4 + 2i)(3 - i) = 12-4i +6i -2i^2 = 12+2i+2 = 14+2i

    You can do the rest yourself
