Question:

Ophthalmologist couldn't find retina detachment? ?

I went to get it corrected today, but when the doctor checks my file, the optometrist wrote my right eye, but I specifically remember him telling me there was a small one in my left eye and probably wouldn't require a laser, but he sent me to this guy to double check. I know it's not my right eye as I only complained about floaters in my left eye, to which he explained why I was seeing them in my left eye but I did have a small tear. I also had laser done in my right and have not seen much of any floaters at all. Could there be a possibility that the doctor who was to do the laser really couldn't find it? Or is it really the wrong eye he examined for laser? I'm about 99% sure if was my left eye so.

  1. Now, how could we possibly know if an error like that was made.

You should check with the original Optometrist again to make sure the file he sent was correct.

Talking about your concern to them will be the only way to know if an error was made.
