Opinion's on a Feeding Tube??

Question

About a year ago my mother was diagnosed with a very rare brain Disease. The doctor told us that we need to start thinking about a feeding tube seeing that her muscles in her throat are not working properly anymore. Just wondering some pro's and con's of a feeding tube.

Pros.. your mother lives

Cons... infection from not cleaning properly and dying.
