As most everyone knows teen pregnancy is not an uncommon thing these days. Some see a problem with it, while others do not. Sarah Palin, the candidate for VP under Mcain, has a 17 year old unmarried pregnant daughter. My question is how do you feel about this? No matter what political party you stand by, I want to know how everyone feels about this and what they think should be done or not done!

  1. As long as she is out there campaigning for her mother as long as her parents and the GOP do not respect her by not throwing her and boyfriend in the limelight she is fair game. The GOP and the girls family are the one throwing the kids into the limelight. They are the ones who are using their children for political gain. And yes obama has done the same thing but said not again and admitted it was a mistake, lets see if her parents care about their kids as much a obama does.

  2. It's a non-issue, and even Obama says hands off.

  3. the democrats are attacking a 17 yr old pregnant girl because they are are deathly afraid of this woman, they watched their election go down the tubes, and they have have gone into "coward" mode

  4. Well she's not the first 17 year old to get pregnant and she won't be the last.   I feel sorry for the girl because she will be in the public limelight now for the entire world to know regardless of how the election goes.  I really don't see this as a reason for this 17 year old to be getting married.  I know these kids, and probably her parents, think this is the thing for her to do but usually these marriages fail.  I feel it would be better for both of these kids to mature and see about marriage a whole lot later down the road.  Teen pregnancy is of great concern to this nation.  Education is the key here.  Abstinence sounds really great to a lot of these people, but lets face it the numbers show that it doesn't work.  Young women need to be taught, and young men too that they are responsible for their bodies and need to know how to take precautions to protect themselves not only from unwanted pregnancy but also from sexually transmitted diseases.

  5. Get over it!  Let it go!  It is not your child.  Her parents have dealt with it.

  6. What she does with her life and family matters is none of your business.

  7. The mother to be is not heading to an abortion mill. she has decided to stand up to her obligation of being a mother due to the choice she made to get there to begin with, now the baby will have a chance to make its choice when the time comes.  The grandmother to be has

accepted the fact and she offers full support to the one she didn't

head to an abortion mill with, the end result will hopefully be three

generations of beautiful people enjoying a beautiful life!

  8. Really good answer from zento 111, my daughter is a teacher in a New York High School, and all the girls talked about yesterday was how cute Levi Johnson was, how romantic his meeting with Bristol was, the New York Times called him, s*x on ice. I noticed that Levi had a new haircut and had his beard shaved for the meeting with John McCain. Levi has been taken out of High School, not just for the convention, but for the rest of the school year, which is a shame, he would have surely received a college scholarship for his hockey playing. His words on his my space page, left no doubt that Levi does not want kids. Perfectly natural, what High school  senior does. Lets face it, they were two kids experimenting with s*x, without the teaching, on how to prevent unwanted pregnancy, or for that matter std. I am not suggesting that the girl wear a Scarlet Letter, but to Glorify teen pregnancy sets a poor example for the rest of the young girls in the nation. And I agree, do not see why Levi and Bristol have to get married right away, Levi has resisted marriage ever since Bristol took that pregnancy test, let them grow up, support them yes, glorify getting pregnant at 17 no. We need s*x Ed before high school, as teens are getting pregnant, earlier. With 60 percents of High School students having s*x, abstinence just does not work. And I think that when Gov Palin slashed funds for Covenant House, a place that houses teen Mothers to be, teaching them the necessary skills to be good mothers and to become good providers. Covenant House teaches life skills, and when Gov Palin line vetoed it, she set herself up for Karma, "What goes around comes around." And I think this does need to be discussed, her judgement, trying to fire a Librarian, a Trooper, her ex brother in law, and her decision to force the kids to marry, are all bad, and we need to discuss her judgment before she gets in office and gets the Nuclear Codes.

  9. it's just not a good look for the nation or the White House...

Nomatter how many people say, it happens everywhere, or down the street..

It does not sit well with me foir the White House.. The senate--the mayor---whatever..

But the White House is the ultimate representation of America, It's power and "IDEALS"....I am sorry..It does not look good in the White house..It is a definite lowering of standards.
