Perhaps the international space station is a big waste of money.   The kind of experiments people do there can be easily done by automated space labs.  Which would be a lot cheaper way to do it.

On the other hand, space angencies are neglecting the danger of large asteroids and cometoids hitting the earth.   Taxpayers would benefit a lot more from efforts to detect and deflect any dangerous space objects from Earth's path.

It's only a matter of time before one of those objects hits the Earth again.  And then everybody will want to know why the space agencies wasted taxpayer money on trivial pursuits and neglected something as important as protecting the lives of people on earth.

People are bored by the space program. The shuttle landed today and I think the only network that covered it live was Fox News.
