Opinion in form for dominating the Betfred The Bonus King Stakes

A line-up of eighteen three-year-old runners has been attracted to the Class 2 Betfred The Bonus King Stakes at Goodwood over a mile, a furlong and 192 yards on Thursday, 2nd August. There are some really bright prospects for the race, William
Jarvis trained, Beaufort Twelve, Opinion trained by Sir Michael Stoute, Sir Henry Cecil’s under charge Wrotham Heath and Asatir conditioned by Saeed Bin Suroor.
Oasis Dream’s colt is backed by 8 to 1 odds for the race today. The bay colt has raced only thrice during the new season and out of those attempts he managed crediting two against his name as wins.
The Highclere Thoroughbred Racing-Herring owned won the seasonal debut on 23rd April, 2012 in the Windsor Vehicle Leasing Maiden Stakes at Windsor over a mile and two furlongs.
Riding with jockey, Richard Mullen, the three-year-old was in the rear up in midfield and stayed on with the same sluggish pace for over four furlongs, but did roll up sleeves after that to make progress. With the last two furlongs still to go, the bay colt
chased the leaders and upon the pursuance of the jockey, led on and won the race by the margin of two lengths.
Finishing the closest to the winner was, Biographer, while taking up the third slot was, Fearless Dream.
The Irish bay colt out of, Kiltubber, then ended fifth in the 32Red Casino Handicap on 26th May, 2012 at Goodwood over a mile and two furlongs. The race was won by the joint favourite, Grandeur, who won the race while defeating the runner-up,
Trader Jack, by 2 ¼ lengths.
On 16th June, 2012, Opinion won the Betfred Mobile Sports Handicap at Sandown over a mile and a furlong. This time he started off strongly and tracked the leaders until five furlongs out.
With the last furlong to go down, the three-year-old battled over the lead, and landed the race with the margin of 1 ¾ lengths. Spirit Of The Law settled as the runner-up and was soon joined by, Hefner.
He will become the mount for jockey, Ryan Moore for a straight third time and will race out from the fifth gate.
