So yesterday my husband gives our 10,6,5 and 3 year olds each a dollar to go to the store,it was all he had in his wallet at the time.So I go to the bank and get $80.00 bucks out,I take $40 and give him $40.I put mine in my wallet and his in the night stand. I sometimes put it in his wallet but not this time,I put it in the nightstand drawer. He saw me do this!and then he drifted off to sleep.I sometimes put the money in his wallet but with 5 kids (I have a 16 year old too) and all the stuff I have to do I sometimes forget....so this morning(I overslept) I didn't fix him any lunch (which I normally do)and obviously he forgot to get the money out of the nightstand he calls and says why didn't I leave him any money???I didn't fix him lunch he says and no money!Oh no its the end of the world! There is a bank 5 minutes away, whos fault was it?mine or his?

  1. His fault.  He knew when he left the house he didn't have any lunch!

Apart from that, you aren't his keeper - he can get money out himself or even make his own lunch.  With 5 kids to look after, he should be able to look after himself every once in a while!

  2. Hi, Cheer up, these things do happen in family. No point in trying to find whos fault it is. what if it is his fault and blames you?

Just say "sorry dear" and give him a hug and kiss when he is back from work.

    Be happy

  3. He's being lazy and irresponsible by placing the blame on you. Tell him to fix his own lunch for the next week!

  4. Of course women will say its his fault and men will say its her fault, but the truth is.............

Its no ones fault. You both have your hands full with whats on your plate and both share the responsibility or your day to day planning. So what you didn't put the $$ in his wallet like you normally do? As you said, he seen you put it in the nightstand. If he didn't forget that the $$ was there the issue would've never came up, but at the same time if you would have put the $$ in his wallet as usual, it would've never gotten that out of control either.

Now i understand about the lunch bit. But that all goes back to the $$ being in the nightstand. It's a big cycle that can go on forever and theres no room to place blame on 1 person over the situation. It sounds to me like you guys need a vacation! :)

  5. Can he use the bathroom on his own ?

If so he is more than capable of making his own sandwiches or going to the bank. You are his wife not his Mother !
