I have one daughter whose middle name is Rene, but this is alittle long and a bit of a tongue twister! They'll probably still call her Rene.

Ugh, it's horrible! I despise Twilight as well, and lost whatever respect I had left for Mrs. Meyer as soon as I heard this 'name'.

I don't undertand why she didn't just call the girl Charlotte (nn: Charlie/Carlie) Esme Renee Cullen in stead of Renesmee Carly Cullen. You have to admit, mine's at least a bit better, right?

And I *think* it's pronounced 'ren-ez-may'.

I love the books but really was shocked when Bella named her child Renesmee. It is the stupidest name ever, I hate it.

lol I am kind of a fan of the books (not too overly obsessed though; I'm really only in it because of Edward [super hot vampire lead guy] and Robert Pattinson [even hotter guy playing Edward in the upcoming movie] lol) and when I read the name I was like WTF that's the ugliest name I've ever heard lol.  It's supposed to be a combination of Bella (the mom)'s two mothers, her own Renee and her mother-in-law Esme or Edward's adopted mom.  I hate that the author made her seem like twelve years old, combining those names and thinking she was being clever and that the name was actually pretty lol.

PS I think it's pronounced pretty much like a mix of Renee and Esme: Ren-es-may.
