Opinion on Wedding Colors?

I'm getting married in June of 2009 and would like opinons on colors. I have 6 girls in the wedding (2 Maid of Honors).

I'm trying to decide between this dress (http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridesmaids_detail.jsp?stid=2332&prodgroup=110&sid=7975) in peridot for all the girls or have my maids of honor in that dress in champagne and the other 4 in peridot. I love the 2 colors so much and think they will go well together. My fiance likes both colors as well and would prefer the peridot to be the main color.

What's your opinion on having 2 different colors set up like that? (I don't want to alternate colors between bridesmaids)

  1. Good color, keep it simple.

  2. I would have the 2 maid of honors in the champagne.  They should stand out from the other bridesmaids.

  3. i would definitely go with the 2 in champagne and the other 4 in the peridot. I'm am doing a similar thing. I'm having my girls in black but I'm having the maids of honor wear a cream sash and the bridesmaids wear a black sash. just to kind of distinguish them and and make my maids of honor stand out. so i think that having your two girls stand out is really neat.

I think your colors are really nice.

I would suggest having all the BM in peridot since this color would make your wedding party pictures "pop" with color.

Champagne for the MOH would be better.

Also using peridot as the main color would draw more attention to your color scheme...Something i find helpful is using the davids bridal "Dress your bridal party" to get an idea of the way your bridal party would look.

  5. I agree with your fiance. I would put your Maid of Honour and the bridesmaids all in the Peridot. Champagne is just too dull. If it were a different dress, I could see having a thin champagne sash, though.

  6. Brilliant idea!

You could also claim that the two colours have a hidden representation champagne is in colour quite like the first rays of sunlight in spring with the peridot representing the spring shoots out of which grow your married life.

  7. I haven't got an opinion about this but how lovely that your Fiance has. All my husband ever said on the subject of bridesmaids dresses was 'I am sure whatever you choose will be lovely darling!' which translates as 'whatever!'
