Opinion on girls going to a pub alone.?

Hi all, i am a lady and enjoy twice a month on friday after work to unwind at local pub with some ladies friends.

But sometimes they werent available i have an idea of going to the pub alone but i am afraid that what people will think about a girl sitting in a pub drinking alcohol all alone'

Is it apporiate for a lady to go to the pub all alone ?

My mom is old-fashioned and she supposedly never step one foot in a bar or pub before. Every time she see a girl, even if shes with friends step into a bar/pub she says "If I ever find out that you went inside one of those place I will kick you ***!" Like she's mad at me or something. lol I just laugh.

But that's my mom. I'm totally different. I really don't judge what people do with their life. If I went inside one of those and I saw you sitting by yourself I would probably sit next to you and say "The girls didn't want to come either?" ha ha

Just don't let people get to you when they stare. Who care if you step into a bar what are they going to do?

The more single women going to pubs the better, that's what people think.

go for it, enjoy life.  there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, go have a blast.

I have never gone to a pub or bar alone, mainly for safety reasons.  I think people might think you are there trying to get picked up, but of course you could just say you are waiting for someone.  My biggest fear is that someone sees you there alone and tries to take advantage of you, or follow you home or something.

Why not just pick up a six-pack and have a beer at home?  Be careful.
