What do you think about the Knock Off Nigel series of adverts (see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlhdK5Yl8u0&feature=related) Do you think it actually achieves its point and its demographic? Or do you think it's a complete waste of money?

Thanks

  1. I honestly think those adverts are brilliant.

They really make you aware of buying your next product

  2. I think that they will have spent an obscene amount of money creating this advert.  If they want to stop this particular activity, why not legalise it and tax it to the extent that it makes the "original" less expensive than the knock off.  Catch a couple of people peddling fakes and fine them a serious amount of money and the problem will go away.

  3. No, I don't think it achieves its aim but it's a lot better than those adverts you get saying 'you wouldn't steal a car' etc.

So many government ads over-egg the custard. Like the smoking ones with the hooks in people's mouths. It seems the most trivial the topic, the worse the ad is.

  4. I laugh with pity every time I see one of those pointless adverts.  Whoever came up with that idea was totally off the mark and should be fired for being a moron.  "Hey - let's tell people that it's uncool to watch copied films, that should stop them all doing it".  The adverts are an insult to our intelligence and actually make me want to watch copied films even more in protest.

Besides, everybody knows that the most popular guy in the office is usually the one who has the latest movies to watch for free.

  5. Complete waste of money, you wont shame people that way. It smacks of desperation to me!!

  6. Ahhhhhhhhh... But have you seen the Wall-E anti p****y ad. That's a good one. Get's the message across to the lil ones before they even start out ; )

And, did anyone think that they're obviously not a complete waste of money as they get people talking? And they start debates? Even if the ads don't make you change your mind the scary fat lady in work who's totally against p****y might.
