In my experience, I have found the

Titleist Pro V1 to have a high spin rate

and excellent control. There are plenty of gold ball brands to choose from that have a high spin ratio.

A three piece ball is your best bet.

Pro V1  is the best with my game...

The Callaway Tour and Nike One Black both work very well. I agree that how you hit it will have the greatest results, I really like the Nike One Black, however the Pro V1 is simply the best. Anytime I have a club championship or cash from buddies on the line, I will play no other.

I personally like the Pro V1, but the Callaway Tour IX is very soft and will spin a lot too.

Titleist  Pro V1.  It has a special soft cover that allows the groves in the club to bite into the ball and cause spin.

The Pro V1 is just the most common choice. In a test done by Golf Magazine, The Nike One Platinum was found to have the highest spin rate of all. It did have the least distance though.

Golf Magazine did an article on this several months ago and the ball that spun the most in their testing was the Nike One Platinum, but as you'd probably figure, this ball take a lot of swing speed to tap into its benefits. If you're swing speed is less than 105 mph, you're really not unlocking the full potential of this ball. As another answer-er noted already, it's a short ball...but this ball was designed for Tiger, and last time I checked Tiger really doesn't need a distance ball.

i did this test on this myself becuz i am off +3 in arizona state university for golf and i have good spin control i tried the best 3 piece balls like the Taylormade TP red, Titleist Pro V1, Calloway HX Tour and the Nike Platinum and i would say it is the Nike Platinum then the Pro v1 for ultimate spin but other wise the PRO V1 is the best ball around so i would use that or if ur 5 or higher use the Taylormade burner.

any soft cover ball will spin for ya, but 90% percent of your spin comes from the way you hit the ball.
