Question:

Opinion why I can't save a Quicktime file?

I bought a hypnotherapy MP3 online and it was an online Quicktime file. The person sent me a link that I needed to click on to put a password in to get to the page. She said it's designed to save on the computer. I could listen to the file online.

I need to save the file onto my computer so I can listen to it when I'm not online. I right clicked on the quicktime file but it says that I need to buy Quicktime 7 pro to save a file, and when I go to File at the top of my browser the Save As feature is dim, and not dark so I can't use it to save the file.

That was with the BT browser so I tried with Explorer, but the file doesn't even come up with that and the page is blank.

Anybody have any tips for what's going on?

  1. You have been tricked. There is no link to save a file on your computer like that. You must actually DOWNLOAD it. And i doubt that even if you you had quicktime pro you would've been able to download the file, since it seems copyrighted. If you are actually allowed to download it get Realplayer, it will install a plugin into your browser making a diaog box appear for each clip available for download you are watching or listening to.

    Good luck

  2. You need QuickTime Pro to edit & save files, but you can open & view them using QuickTime Free.

    Get it from www.apple.com/quicktime/download
