Opinions Needed!?

Question

I'm looking for a compact digital camera that's no more than $300. I think the Sony Cybershot looks good. What's the best kind to get?

If you have one, what kind do you have (brand, type, megapixels, zoom)? Does it work well?

For compact digital cameras go for Canon.  For me there are not better options.  They are simple and not packed with uneccesary features.  The image quality is remarkable and they are very compact.  Have a look at the Canon Ixus 80 IS. 8MP. It has a 2.5 inch LCD, Viewfinder, very good 3x optical zoom, image stabliser, fantastic optics and its all housed in an attractive metal body.  Should be roughly $320 ish.  Woth paying a tad more.

Yepppp I have a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W55!

It's sooooo good has excellent quality pictures. It comes in diffrent colors so pick which ever one you like they have black,blue,pink a silver. There are a lot of modes that you can use and its super simple to use!.. It has 7.2 mega pixels. And the zoom is 3x Digital..thts the only con its zoom is kinda not all the great but it gets the job done. Its only like 170 bucks so like half your budget but its soooo good! I think you should get it.
