Opinions if there were another post-Israel?

In your opinion...what would be the result if Israel actually ceased to exist? How would it affect Jews, Christians and Muslims there? In other words...could the various elements actually live side-by-side in peace if only Israel ceased to exist? I frequently hear the argument that it is "Israel and not the Jews", but I am somewhat skeptical of that. Please be honest everyone. Please don't use examples of the past or of different places...I only want to know whether you believe that the people who CURRENTLY live in Israel, Gaza and the West bank could or would live in peace, side-by-side if only Israel would cease to exist or what the result would be otherwise? Opinions from everyone welcome. Thank you.

Israel wants land....not peace.

1- A relief to the Middle Eastern neighbors who have received nothing from Israel but disturbing annoyances in the past 60 years.

2- A relief to non-Israeli Jews all around the world who have to deal with increasing anti-semitism as a result of Israel's atrocities.

3- A relief to the Palestinians who will be able to smile again after they retrieve their lands and lives back, as well as the basic human rights that have been taken away from them.

4- A relief to the other 4 continents, no one will ever have to hear about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict ever again

5- A relief to all human kind and Peace in the region - No more threats on peaceful prospering countries such as Qatar and the United Arab Emirates who currently find themselves caught in the middle of a Iran-Israel/US war

6- There won't be any more reasons for more Hamas-type groups forming or suicide bombings which were uncommon before the formation of Israel

7- A relief from nukes and nuclear weapons which Israel brought to the region and bullied everyone with ever since

8- Our troops will come back home, no more blood for Israel

9- Global Anti-American sentiment will be over

10- More health care in the United States and benefits for our war veterans

11- No more "peace" treaty with Egypt against the Egyptian people's will, all just to keep Israel from attacking them.

12- Justice. Middle East for the Middle Eastern people. The Spanish, Russian, German and Polish shall go home.

13- A relief to Judaism which for 60 years has been hijacked by an atheist political movement called Zionism.

The whole world would be a more peaceful place to be.

The Palestinians would start smiling again.

The Olive trees in Palestine would blossom.

You would hear laughter in the streets and no one would care about the Palestinians anymore because no one cares about happy people.

The Americans will feel relieved since those billions of dollars would stay inside the US to help the poor, and it general our planet will be a happier planet.

Funny how all these pro-palestinians beat their occupation drum - fact IS Palestinians are refugees from other countries, even Arafat was an Egyptian 1st - 2nd the land in 1947 was owned by the British...

The Arabs had 2 choices when the Jews came to town - welcome their semite brothers with open arms or wage war on land that was owned by the British.... Looks like they've made the wrong decisions year after year

To answer your question: If Israel ceased to exist TODAY- the s**+'ites would still be fighting with the sunni's.... HAMAS & Fatah would continue to go at it because they are power hungry... Hezbollah would still fight with the Lebanese Army...

Sure they could live in peace, but they go from lunatic to extreme lunitic when it comes to politics and international dealings & chances are mujaemedjkasdjka from Iran would be waving his nuclear flag running the show...

EDIT: to answer your question to X Todgruppe, when Arafat was running the show, 85% of any aid $ went straight to Arafat's swiss bank account, as he hoarded 300 million while complaining how his people were starving, while the neighboring countries would supply them with 2nd grade weapons and bomb making materials... In 60 years, some of the richest oil countries have done squat to help them rebuild, when Israel handed over Gaza, what did the Palestinians do? They dismantled and burned everything in sight and are too busy firing home made rockets as opposed to developing land that was already developed...

First of all you are forgetting what the UN resolution in 1947 was for in the first place, why did we need a 2 state solution? solution to WHAT?

So no..there will be no peace and they are very clear about that.

What will happen if Israel hypothetically ceased to exist?

All neighboring countries will get their piece and the rest will unite with Jordan as Jordan is a "Palestinian" state.

And I think we all know what will happen to the Jews.

Don't forget there are over 3.5 million Jews who were expelled from Arab countries and are living in Israel today, there are at least 2 more million living in other countries.

Don't forget that the real estate they left behind in Arab countries is 4 times the size of the state of Israel, technically the Arabs owe us 3 more Israels.

An important clarification would have to be instead of Israel, what would there be? If it would be a no man's land, then the resident hatreds based in religion would crop up -- dhimmi status and such...Jews living in a variety of countries, even in the middle east were persecuted way before there was an Israeli state. If the area were an international zone monitored by outside soldiers, I believe that these international soldiers would become the targets on arab-nationalist grounds (and probably, Israeli nationalist ones also).
