Question:

Opinions of good straighteners?

i'm never sure of what straightener to get. i spend $40 on one from ulta that doesn't even straighten at the highest temp, then i spend $50 on one from sallys beauty supply (jilbere de paris definition series), and it's ok but it doesn't get my hair as straight as i want it. i'm thinking about getting a CHI, but i'm wondering if there are other straighteners that are cheaper and work as well. but if it resorts to it, i'll get a CHI as long as i have super straight hair. so what are your opinions on straighteners?

btw, i have naturally straight, fine hair that is occasionally wavy/curly at the ends.

  1. i've always wanted a CHI cuz i know they are really good and they work on my hair. but i didn't want to pay so much for them cuz they are so expensive.

but i was looking around too cuz i got one from ulta and it didnt really work but it was cheep. but recently i got one called GVP meaning generic value products. on the box it says compare to CHI and its like a "generic" CHI. but it's absolutely AMAZING! i love it!! it even works perfectly on my sister's hair and her hair is impossible. I got mine at sally's. it was around $60, a little more on the expensive side but not as much as the CHI and it works really well. hope that helps :)

  2. CHIs are good, but break very easily. I like the Solia's they go up to about 400, and are ceramic and straighten VERY WELL. I have thick wavy hair, and they get it pin straight. I only like pin straight hair. You can adjust the temperature, and the plates are good on fine hair. Also, GHD's are very good.

  3. kiyoseki... but it cost around $100-$150

  4. you have to spend to get a good one, sorry. ghd are the best
