Question:

Opinions on Bare Minerals?

Is bare minerals as good as people claim? Does it really look natural and not caked on? I have a little bit of acne, you know the usual amount for teenagers, and i am so sick of the foundations i have been using. So i need personal opinions.

Also, I don't get what kit i should get, if i decide to get one that is, and so what was the first kit you bought? Also is it easy to use? I hate waking up in the morning and like having a fast routine in the morning.

  1. I have used bare minerals for 3 years now. I have combination skin and I love it. At first I was skeptical about the product watching it being advertised on tv. Then I went to a sephora store, tried it and loved it, the feeling of the mineral powder is so light and the colors are excellent. I wear it all seasons and it does NOT sweat off in the hot summer sun, like alot of other foundations too. After using it for the last 3 years., i have no breakouts and my skin texture has improved, because it is a natural product without all the ingredients that I couldn't pronounce from other products that I have used in the past.

  2. I love it! I don't have the whole set, just the foundation. I've been using it for several months through winter, spring and summer and it's been great. it looks completely natural. i've got dark scars on my face, and while it doesn't hide them completely, it does make them look a lot better. the key to using it is to buff in circles like they tell you. it's fast and effective. in the summer, i tend to sweet a lot and my skin can get a bit greasy so I apply a primer (smashbox photofinish) before buffing on the foundation. i would recommend it to anyone.

  3. I'm 14 and I got the Bare Minerals starter kit or whatever, and I think it's just ok. my mom loves it though. I don't think it covers up enough, it's really really sheer, don't get it if you're looking for a lot of coverage. The starter kit comes with:

    1. Two powder thingys in your shade

    2. "Warmth" (bronzer)

    3. "mineral veil"

    4. instructional dvd

I say try it and see how you like it. You might be able to get a free sample on their website or something ;D

  4. ive used similar products to bare minerals and i love mineral makeup

but ive heard the introductory offer of bare minerals are in really small containers and i know its pretty expensive. i use everyday minerals and its a lot cheaper, but i dont no whether theres any difference between them,

but definately try out mineral makeup its way quiker to apply and feels heaps lighter on your face

  5. Yes it is good as they claim

Yes it looks natural and not caked on if you apply it right

    It clears up my acne

I bought the kit off TV. The kits offered always change, but this is the current one:

When I got mine it came with 2 colors foundation, mineral veil, warmth, the concealer brush, Flawless brush, and a case. It looks like now you get 2 more brushes and bisque too for the same price I paid. When I got the medium kit, medium didn't match my skin color but medium beige did and I've used it ever since. My mom ordered warm tan because she's Asian but she didn't realize how dark it was. They were really nice when she called and sent her the medium kit instead for no extra charge.

It's definitely worth the price to me. The small starter kit container lasted me about 1 1/2 years. When I went to order another one, it cost $30 but when I received it I realized that it was a lot bigger than the starter kit one. This one I imagine could last me for at least 3 years!
