fiction- come on the man (al gore) who claims global warming is also the one who said he invented the internet. The earth warms and cools all the time and on a massive effect throughout history. Animals(including us) become extinct, and new ones survive. We haven't enough information to truly determine what effect we are really having over weather conditions cause we've only really monitored weather for the last 50-60 years. Global warming is another ploy to get misguided people to buy more expensive stuff and live a more expensive lifestyle(i.e. hybrid cars, "green" friendly items...) besides if everyone was soo worried about global warming why do the "green" products cost so much- give them out for free if you really car about the environment.

Global warming is a natural phase of Earth, caused by some Solar Activities by Sun. We human don't have to bother about it. Some of the environmentalist says that this is because of the CO2 we are emitting into the environment, but the reality is that we are just contributing towards 1% to 10% of actual global warming.

If the actual cause of Global Warming is CO2 emitted by the humans then why Global Warming occures on other planets. Just Google for "Global Warming on other planets" and see the results, there are no humans on other planets.

Having too little CO2 in the environment will cause for the plants to die more early, more over it also cools down the temperature on earth.

Having too much CO2 (obiviously, not caused by humans. Mostly generated in the Sea/Oceans) will lead to Green House effect and will lead in increasing the temperature on Earth.

So, the best is to plant more trees so that there would be a balance for the consumption of CO2 on the planet.

I personally think that instead of thinking on this baseless issue try to think on what if Nuclear War broke out in the world, it will destroy Earth more rapidly.

So, next time whenever somebody says you about global warming, just ignore it.

In the way your question is worded it's hard for me to answer.

If we add the word Anthropogenic to your question my answer is that its fiction, since there is no way human's can effect the over all climate in a drastic way. As your question is worded I say its fact due to the planet going through my climatic changes, since its inception.

Right now I feel we are starting to see a slow decrease in temperature for our global climate, whether we are starting to trend toward another ice age that's hard to say. But these quacks decided to use when we were starting to warm up from the last mini ice age as where to begin showing an increase in global temperatures.  To me that is highly suspect. Also we don't have a good grasp of how often these blips downward and back upward occur during these interglacial periods.

Someday another glacial period will occur and I feel sorry for those future humans who have to live through that, since when it does, that's when we'll see mass exstinction of many creatures including humans if we don't adapt to the changing climate and with our houses I don't see that will be able to regrow fur on our bodies.

It is happening, but do not worry about it.. We should recycle as we are really polluting our land! But Global Warming is a natural occurrence and there is nothing we can do about it! It would be a giant waste of money to try! Our earth is releasing Gigi quantities of greenhouse gas and what can we do? Say, "Stop it?" Anyway, the answer is fiction.

The Earth warms and cools on its own.  The medieval warming period happened without huge smoke stacks and SUV's.  We're warming after a mini-ice age.

I wonder if the animals panicked so hard when the big ice-age ended, or if they thrived...

Fiction though i didn't always think so but now i just believe it is a ploy... companies making their own profit market with "green products". 10 years it was an ice age, now it is heating up. global scare campaign? pretty certain. I wish i was making the profits there making... there is an advantage though... we are  helping our environment and cleaning up our act, which has been much needed for a long time...

Global warming due to man probably carries some truth.  The problem with that is the overall warming caused by man is probably less than 1%.  Our world goes through natural changes all the time.  It is beyond me that people seem to believe that 150 years of temperature "data" is enough to think that something drastic is happening.  Just think of the Earth's history of climate changes prior to man's existence.  Global warming caused by man... rubish.  Global climate change due to the Earth's natural tendency to fluctuate... fact.
