Im a 8 handicap golfer, who hits the ball far, and is looking for a more accurate and forgiving 3 wood. I am interested in the titliest 3 wood, cleveland hibore 3 wood, and the ping g10. I was just wondering if people can give some feedback on the clubs above and maybe suggest some others to look at and some details. Thanks for the help

  1. I think it is all up to personal choice. It depends on what you want to use it for. I am a one handicap and it depends on how I am going to use it. If I am using the 3 wood off the tee 90 percent of the time I hit it, I like something with a deeper face, I use a callaway for this. If I am hitting the 3 wood on par 5's of the deck then I like something with a thinner face, much like the titleist, I use the 3 wood made by Tour Exotics. If you can find one that suits both your eye when the ball is teed up and when it is on the ground then you have found the right club.

    Good Luck

  2. I've been playing a TaylorMade R7 TP 3 wood for a couple of years now and think its the best club in the bag. My 4- handicapper friend agrees and has repeatedly tried to buy it off me.

Its accurate. It's forgiving. And it's VERY long. I use it off the tee in place of a driver and off the fairway.

  3. I've played a Ping fairway wood(I3) and Nike fairway woods.  I currently play a Nike Sasquatch 2 and used to play a Sasquatch.  Both are great.  It finished 2nd in a comparison of fairway woods in last year's Golf Club Test by Golf Magazine by 1 vote to the Callaway Big Bertha.

  4. you might want to look at the "callaway" clubs--they are also good---make sure you get the right shaft in any club you choose---you probably need a regular shaft---i personally couldnt handle a stiff shaft.

  5. TaylorMade V-Steel. High, far and straight.

  6. Dido the Taylor Made V-Steel.

I love the sound it makes on contact.

    It’s a better player 3-wood.

Easy to find used, less than $100 NEW!
