In your opinion what is the best and most convenient bottle out there? I asked a previous question and have been getting rave reviews on the Playtex Drop Ins bottle

  1. I have to agree with the Playtex Drop In bottles.  I used them with both of my sons and they worked great.  I was able to put water in the bottle and then add the formula when we were out, the same as any other bottle.  I currently am a lead teacher in an infant room and have used just about every bottle on the market with various children, and still believe the drop ins are the best.  They are the cleanest available, I have found that formula is sometimes hard to wash out of regular bottles especially along the bottom edge, even the bottle brushes don't seemed to be shaped to make it easy to get the "corner" around the bottom.  One down side is that they are an added expense.  The cost of the liners can add up and they should not be reused.  I have never used the Munchkin bottles, sorry, I can't help you with that.

  2. Don't use Avent. They're full of BPA. Maybe it's just a big scare, but I'm not taking any changes. Make sure you're bottles are BPA free.

I use BornFree Plus and MAM. MAM is ok for water, but not so easy to see how much your baby has eaten, because of the ring at the bottom.

BornFree bottles are more bits to clean, but they help against gas, which is real good and the 'grow' with the baby, as you can transform them into a sippy with handles later on.

  3. hi im from australia we had a news show discuss different bottles and a study was shown that advent bottles can cause cancer with the re heating of the plastic  some chemical they have in there plastic type i guess..   just thought i would tell u that we stoped using advent bottles after that and use tommie tippie..

  4. I've been through a ton of bottles because my son is real picky. Long story short I have found that he hates standard size bottles and only likes wide-mouth ones. I love the Avent bottles (and they make BPA free ones), the SASSY MAM are my favorite, and I love the drop ins. I have the Avent because someone gave them to us...I love them but I only have 2 which is Ok with me because of the BPA. The drop ins are great but I hate how bubbly they get when you shake them up inside the bottle and there is no point in mixing them in something else and then pouring it in to reduce the gas. But I shake it, let it sit for a minute and it works. So overall, the MAM are my favorite...and the drop ins.

  5. I like Avent personally. Playtex drop ins are great to cut down on cleaning and all but I don't like them all that much, and neither does my son. Not to mention you can't have the water ready to go in the bottle when you go out and that's just one more thing you have to carry with you.

  6. i think i have tried just about every bottle there is.  I love the drop-ins right now because I dont have a dishwasher so they are much easier to clean.  Vent airs are great also, the shape of them makes it easier for babies to hold and they come apart for easy cleaning.  i used avent for a while with my first but i found the larger sizes to constantly leak.

  7. Ive always used Avent...i tried switching bottles so my baby can try new ones. She doesnt like small nipples. It works great for me.

  8. I would have to agree with the drop ins. they are wonderful because you can get all of the air out of the bottle so the baby will not have as much gas.

I used them with my first, but i think i'm going to try the avent bottles this time just to see what all the hype is about.

  9. I think it's different for every baby.  One thing I would reccomened is to find and use ones that are BPA free.  I know some popular ones out there are not.  I have not tried the drop ins, but am going to try the MAM UltiVent kind.  Good luck.

  10. I prefer Avent. They work wonderful for my son & they are great.I love them.I tried a lot of others, but they didn't do so great.Everyone recommends drop-ins,but I didn't care for them.Every one is different though. It all boils down to what baby does best on.
