Opinions on contract jobs please?

Question

I had a job offer today to sell ads for a local magazine that I love to read. I have also been offered the opportunity to visit local events to take pictures and write articles for the magazine. It is a part time second income contract job so I work where, when and if I want to. It is paid by comission only, so I wont be giving up my full time job for this at all. I was wondering if any of ya'll have magazine ad sales exp and how do you go about it when meeting a potential client for the first time and I'd like your opinion on this opportunity. Thanks for your input.

You will be going door to door to sell subscriptions. Al lot of work for little pay. You will do better getting a part time job at MacDonalds.
