Opinions on each of these names? :)?

Question

We're looking for a unique name... yet something where my child wont be made fun out of. I want it to be beautiful, classic and timeless. Therefore, alot of the name are old-fashioned. :) could you give your HONEST opinions on these names?

Sophia Esme is the only one I could recommend out of those. And the name Sophia is hugely popular right now!

Sophia Esme - love Sophia, really don't like Esme

Clara Elise - love Clara, don't like Elise

Eliza June - seriously don't like it, it makes me think of an old lady

Elora Jasmine - it sounds like a flower, looks too close to Flora Jasmine

Cara Dorothy - I like it.  What about spelling it Kara?  Great how the middle name has meaning

Ivy Madeleine - I don't like Ivy.  I switch this name around and make it Madeline Ivy.  Madeleine is pronounced Mad-uh-lean so best to leave the second 'e' out if you want it pronounced correctly

THE ONLY ONE I LIKE IS SOPHIA ESME. THE OTHER ONES I DON'T REALLY LIKE. BUT THE FIRST ONE IS REALLY CUTE. =]

i love the name sophia but im not very sure about the esme part. i would do something like sophia laura, sophia dorothy, or sophia madeline. (i like how i spelled madeline rather then how you did it. ) hope that helped =)

Elora is quite nice, as is Eliza June. Please don't call your child esme though - for her own good.

I like Sophia but not Esme the name is just kind of ugly in my opinion sorry... I adore the name Clara Elise, its unique but not too old fashion and it would be an okay name for an adult but since the name clara sounds like a name for a kid maybe you should use the name claire and call her clara when she is  kid and then when shes an adult her name would be very sophistacated... I like the name Elizabeth (Eliza) June its cute and kind of unique even though there is a lot of elizabeths... I love the name Cara but I am not fond of the name Dorothy it reminds me of dorothy the charachter in wizard of oz... How about cara jasmine... I like the name Elora its cute and I've never known someone with that name... It is very unique but I think the name Elora would go better with the middle name Dorothy... and last I love the name Ivy Madeline so unique and sophistocated.. she could be nicknamed maddie... hope this helps =D

i think using old fashioned names is adorable!!

-i love sophia but esme makes me think of the scary lady in "the emperor's new groove"

-i'm not too crazy about eith clara or elise... i like claire better

-don't really like elora or jasmine

-cara dorothy doesn't really flow but if you want to use dorothy as a middle name for your mother-in-law put it with a different first name

-ivy madeleine is very cute but kind of hippy-ish... what about madeleine ivy?

Sophia Esme-- I've always really liked the name Sophia. Cause if a girl thinks it's too formal sounding, she can always go by Sophie. And her friends will probably call her Soph. Esme is cute, too. I was worried it was gonna be (ez-mee)

Clara Elisa-- I used to have a cat named Clara. lol. So it kind of skews my opinion of the name. But again, she'll probably go by Claire. Elisa, I'm not crazy about, but it does go well with Clara.

Eliza June-- I don't care for the name Eliza, but I do like the middle name June.

Elora Jasmine-- I personally think it sounds like the name of a Potpourri gift basket.

Cara Dorothy-- Love the name Cara...but Dorothy not so much. It's kind of taking old fashioned to the extreme. But it's not too bad. Especially as a middle name.

Ivy Madeleine-- It's sort of unusual together because usually people with the middle name Madeleine have a very common first name. I love the name Ivy.

Sophia - VERY common name, but beautiful, and Sophie is cute.  I believe this is on the top 10 list now for girls.

Clara, its cute, but remind me of a cow for some reason (maybe its just me!) I prefer the name Claire to Clara

Eliza, I like it, but preffer Ella.  Eliza has a bit of a hardness to it. Maybe you like Elyse? thats a pretty and soft name.

Elora - dont like this one, sounds like a grandmother

Cara, pretty name, but again, very very common.

Ivy, I like this name, but could get made fun of.

I think my favorites are Sophia, if you like common, or Ivy, Hope that helps!!

Sophia Esme (ez-may) - I believe Sophia is the top or second most popular name in the US. It makes a lovely middle name

Clara Elise - BEAUTIFUL. It may flow better as Claire Elise?

Eliza June - Sounds a bit harsh for some reason

Elora Jasmine - Pretty and unique

Cara Dorothy (Dorothy is my mother-in-law) - These flow beautifully together and Cara is sweet and pretty

Ivy Madeleine (Mad-uh-line) - lively and they sound great together.

I don't think you can go wrong because you have excellent name choices. According to your desires, I think Clara Elise is the most beautiful, classic and timeless with Cara Dorothy second. Blessings to you =]

Clara Elise is soooooo adorable. Not too fond of Elora Jasmine or Ivy, but I do like Madeleine.The rest I like, they are really cool names! Good luck!!
