Opinions on online relationships ....?

ok there are two types of online love.. im wondering if the issues people have with meeting someone online can be fixed when talking on a medium like skype, where you can see and hear the person you are having a relationship with? does this make it better.. bear in mind that they are leading towards meeting in person and seeing how it goes.. what are the thoughts on this?

I met my boyfriend through a game online lol, and we get along wonderfully.

Just be VERY VERY careful with who you trust with what information.

Being able to actually hear each other does help. Webcams also do wonders.

i think it's great!! my husband and I met online and we were literally across the world and we'd write e-mails, talk on the phone and go on web cam so we could see each other around the house and our pets ..it was sweet and although before I was a little iffy about the net thing I am all for it now as long as you are careful. I know live in Australia (from Canada) with my husband with our 2 dogs and a beautiful life!! :)

It's hard to generalize. But in example I met my fiancee online. We met face to face after a year of being a part and are still happily together. It helped that we were able to speak to each other over the phone and with the use of webcams.

Honestly I think online dating is the new way. It's easier to talk to someone without the pressure of being face to face when you first meet. Once you get to know them meeting is easy.

Just be very careful.

Online relationship is great. My wife is met through an online dating site called http://www.wealthychats.com , we experienced the online relationships for months, then we found we are the righ one for each other, so, we are happily married now.

I think you should meet up with the person in real life after talking to them online whether it be skype or aim.

I think it's a good choice. I am currently having an online relationship. Well I get to see my girlfriend but not so often, and she lives in another state. We always send eachother pictures and talk on the phone.
