Opinions on "Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World"?

I just recently purchases this cookbook and for my first recipe I am going to make Basic Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Buttercream Filling and topped with Chocolate Ganach for a friend's birthday in a couple of weeks here. I was wondering if anyone has tried these recipes and if they can really pass for "non-vegan" cupcakes. I tried a cupcake recipe from "Vegan with Venegence" (the Lemon Gem cupcakes) and they were absolutely NOT GOOD, so I'm worried about trying so many cupcake recipes from the same authors. I've heard they were good from a couple people, but I just wanted to get some additional opinions!

I've had several cupcakes from that book, and they've all been amazing. Will definitely pass for non-vegan!

HOLY ZEN!!! a vegan recipe like that!!! I NEEDS IT!!!

the problem with a recipie like that is... chaos. there will be small things that will make what ever you are baking awesome or something to scrap the excess skin of the bottom of you foot with. oven temperture, impropper mixing (under mixing, over mixing), fault in ingredents (be it a clump of salt or a scratch on the pan). the best thing to do is get a recipie that works then mess with it. i have a basic sweet cup cake recipie, a fruit or vegtable muffin base, and a bread base, i will add whatever to it as i go,

chocolate cup cakes=chocolate, chocolate chips, and cupcake mix

carrot muffins = carrots(shreded) walnuts and muffin base.

experement with recipes till you find how it works.

I haven't tried a bad one yet.  The Mexican Hot Chocolate cupcakes are to die for.  My mom even requested a batch for her (totally not vegan) women's group meeting.
