Opitical essilor digiscan read problem?

i have a essilor digiscan reader and the edging machine problem is when i read the lense cut shape in to the digiscan the info is not being transferred to the edger (cutter) all it is doing is cutting circles , ive been told it is not a mainboard problem , anyone any ideas or had similar experience
