As I bicycle to work on a daily basis, I often encounter many road kills, such as opossums. Usually, I try to avoid running over them. But yesterday, I had to run over a huge opossum. It was during heavy traffic and it was unavoidable. It was a nasty speed bump, as my bicycle actually bounced.

1.Genuinely, what did it felt like when you had to run over a road kill?

2.Was it quite a thump?

3.Did it diminish the handling of your car?

  1. I've run over quite a few critters. And generally there is just a thump.

Never had any damage to the car.

  2. Running over road kills can cause you to have a flat tire. In many cases, broken & splintered bones can penatrate your tire, thus causing you  tire damage

  3. .Here in Texas opossums armadillo's and raccoons and worst of all Skunks. Armadillo's growl at you and run away when you get thrown to the ground. Potato chip shaped front wheel took the brake off and rode home to doctor my road rash.
