Opponent Preview: Green Bay Packers face Chicago Bears in Week 15, Tennessee Titans in Week 16 and Minnesota Vikings in Week 17
The last three weeks of the 2012 season put up some difficult fixtures for the Green Bay Packers.
Facing two National Football Conference (NFC) North Division rivals and a tricky opponent will not be an easy walk in the park for Green Bay although they will be the favourites to come out on top in each of these fixtures.
Victory for the Packers will be necessary in all these fixtures if they wish to once again secure the divisional crown and enter the playoffs with home-field advantage.
These fixtures put up some exciting player-to-player matchups and football fans can expect big plays and exciting encounters in the final three games.
Week 15: Chicago Bears
In week 2 the Packers faced Chicago at Lambeau Field.
This time Green Bay will travel to Soldier Field to face their fiercest rivals in the NFC North and this game like every time will be an exciting encounter.
We have discussed both teams in our earlier preview for week 2. This fixture though will be different from the one at the start of the season as both teams could be nursing injuries to key players due to the wear and tear of a complete NFL season.
It will be interesting fixture to watch.
Week 16: Tennessee Titans
The Titans are a tricky opponent to face for any team in the National Football League (NFL).
On their day the Titans can take on any of the big names in the NFL and have the players in the roster that can make big plays for the team.
Last year the Titans had a rollercoaster season as they finished with a 9-7 regular season record. The franchise missed out on the playoffs but remained in contention for a wildcard spot right to the end of the season.
Quarterbacks Matt Hasselbeck and Jake Locker delivered some positive performances last year and in this year’s training camp both players are competing with each other to become the starting quarterback.
The franchise also brought in talented wide receiver Kendall Wright as 20th overall pick in the 2012 NFL drafts.
With running back Chris Johnson set to have another big year the franchise looks well set to take a shot at the playoffs.
The Packers will face them near the end of the season and it could be that the Titans might be fighting for a shot to reach the playoffs.
They will be hungering for victory and Green Bay cannot take this fixture lightly.
Head-to-Head
Both teams have faced each other 10 times with Green Bay winning four while the Titans have won six times.
Week 17: Minnesota Vikings
This fixture has all the makings of an exciting end of the season dead rubber although you never know what football will throw up.
Team preview for the Vikings has already been covered in Week 13
