http://www.senore.com/Opponent-Preview-Week-1-2-Oakland-Raiders-faces-San-Diego-Chargers-and-Miami-Dolphins-a169164 games to be played in week 1 and 2 of the regular season.
This time we will preview games to be played in week 3 and 4. The season will be up and running at that time.
Week 3: Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers have one of the most experienced rosters in the entire league. Their offence played a major role last regular season, getting them to finish 12-4.
Steelers’ do have one critical problem, though. As most of their players are old, they do not move that quick to stop fast moving players.
Steelers have signed some young players this offseason to resolve this situation, yet those players are signed for offensive team only.
So there will be some slow legs in the defence which gives Raiders a chance to go through them. This match could go on either side as both the teams have their limitations and loop holes.
Last time these two sides confronted each other was in the 2010 season. Steelers won that match comprehensively 35-3.
Head-to-Head
Steelers and Raiders have confronted each other 25 times. Raiders have won 13 games while Steelers have won 12.
The two sides have also played six games against each other in the playoffs winning three games each.
Week 4: Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos had a good last season, thanks to surprising performance by quarterback Tim Tebow. They finished the regular season 8-8.
Broncos’ performance this season will totally depend on how their new quarterback Peyton Manning performs.
If he gets fully fit, he will give a tough time to Raiders. The league’s only four-time Most Valuable Player (MVP) still has what it takes to take the team to the Super Bowl.
Broncos defence has some loop holes. Raiders will have to capitalise on that.
Last time these two sides played each other was in last season. In that game Broncos played well and won 38-24.
Head-to-Head
Raiders and Broncos have contested 105 games against each other. Raiders have won 60 of them while Broncos have won 43 of them. Two games ended in a tie. They have also played two playoff games against each other.
