Opponent Preview Week 14 and 16: Kansas City Chiefs face Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts
These are the last previews of Kansas City Chiefs’ opponents for the 2012 season. In this instalment, we will preview games to be played in week 14 and 16.
In week 15, Chiefs will face Oakland Raiders and in week 17 they will be against Denver Broncos.
It will be the final part of the season; some teams will be pushing for the playoffs, while others will be playing to get themselves out of the bottom.
Week 14: Cleveland Browns
This clash could go any way as the two teams have similar capacity in their game. Cleveland Browns are coming from a damning season and are hoping to finish in the top half of the table in the upcoming season.
The Browns are still not sure about who will be their starting quarterback. They have three quarterbacks and all of them have the resume to become the starter.
This problem could get even more immense if the offence does not get the proper time to train with their regular quarterback.
Chiefs’ defence must not provide any loopholes if they want to win.
The last time these two sides met each other was in the 2010 season in which Chiefs won 16-14.
Head-to-Head
Browns and Chiefs have played 22 games against each other. Both the teams have won 10 games each while two games ended in a tie.
Week 16: Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis Colts suffered severe damage last season as they had lost their legendary quarterback Peyton Manning due to a critical neck injury.
Last season, Colts fell from grace and ended up at 2-14. This was their worst performance in 20 years. This was all due to the absence of a leader like Manning. Colts truly missed his leadership.
Chiefs’ defence will be looking for a piece of luck when they handle the Colts’ rookie quarterback Andrew Luck.
Although a good prospect, Luck is still a rookie and can be vulnerable when facing a good defence.
However, Colts cannot be ruled out of the competition.
The last time Chiefs and Colts faced each other was in October 2011. The game ended up with Chiefs winning 28-24.
Head-to-Head
The two teams have faced each other 21 times. Colts have the edge with 13 wins against eight wins by Chiefs. They have played three games against each other in the playoff with Colts winning all of them.
