Opportunities for Italians to Work in US Temporarily?

Question

I have a friend from Verona, Italy that just received her secondary degree in Business and Law. She wants to come to the US for six months to a year to live and work and I'm trying to help her find some opportunities.

She was thinking of an Au Pair position but isn't limited to that. Most of the info. I'm finding is for students and because she's done w/ school, I'm having a hard time finding any info.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try internships with financial companies. West Coast or East Coast - this is a good time to inquire about those and they last as long as 6 months.  Even companies like Yahoo, Google, Excite, Ebay, etc have short term offers they extend globally.  Focus onb what she wants to do, do some research about where she wants to be, then proceed quickly and thoroughly to apply to as many as possible.  Follow up on all of the top choices personally.
