Opt out set to bring up his first win in Irish Stallion Farms E B F Maiden Stakes
Opt out has got a great chance of bringing up his maiden victory in the sport, by winning the Irish Stallion Farms E B F Maiden Stakes at Ayr in England on Monday, July 9, 2012. He will have to battle out four other runners for a prize money of £3,235.
There has been a lot of rain this English summer, thus most of the tracks are soft these days. The situation is same at Ayr today and the action will start at 14:00 GMT. These conditions will definitely be a test for a few runners whereas some may see this
as an opportunity.
Opt Out is one of those runners, who will like the conditions today and it will be difficult for his opponents to stop him from taking the top spot. However, the bettors might not risk a lot of bets on him, as there are some fierce competitors up against
him.
Most of the runners, lined up for action, have not participated in a lot of races, thus they lack experience. This will make the competition a lot more interesting and the fans will be looking forward to it.
Looking at the overall record of Opt out, it seems that he has the skills to fight for victories with consistency. He has taken part in four events and managed to finish in the top three on four occasions. This is quite impressive, but his team would be
expecting him to break the shackles and win his first ever race in the sport.
The two-year-old colt made his debut in May this year and was able to catch the attention of everyone with his first performance. He finished third back then, but the bookmakers had given him the best odds, as they tipped him to claim the title.
The Mark Johnston’s trainee followed that performance with a couple of more third place finishes, which proved his ability to be amongst the leaders. He improved his speed in the most recent run and finished runner up that time around.
The young runner will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Joe Fanning, who has won quite a few races at this level at a decent strike rate.
