When I try to write a movie to a x16 maxell DVD-R blank disc, using Nero 7 set to 'fit to disc', I get an error message saying 'insufficient space on disc'. The 1st 3 diss from a pack of 25 wrote ok, but when I inserted the 4th disc I got the error message. I tried several discs from the same pack and got same eror each time. I then tried using Windows Vista DVD maker but it failed again.

I then tried writing the same movie to disc using my HP Laptop and also got the same error.

Finally I used one of these discs in my Sony DVD Recorder, to record a TV program and the disc worked fine.

Any idea what the problem could be?
hello,
I have a pack of Maxwell DVD-R and have burned several DVD's from Nero 7 and 8. I converted AVI files into the DVD using nero, and then burned them to the disks. The DVD's play fine on my computer using nero showtime, but when I try to play them in my playstation 2, some say (tv format not recognized), and others play half of the movie, and then it says disk error. I have a friend who has a brand new DVD player, and it plays all of these DVD's without problem. Can anyone help, I have played other DVD-R's on my ps2 with no problem, is something wrong with my drive (optiarc DVD RW AD-7190A)
