Optical business is very good in India now?

At present I am in Saudi Arabia. After completion of my agreement; I want to start a Optical and Sunglasses business by retail show room. Hyderabad : India (the retail show room good or whole sale) give me good advise please those friend or brothers are giving me good advise; they should feel themself they are starting the business:

Very interesting. The market for Sun Glasses is really excellent, apart from other bi spectacles. Present day youths are more attracted towards the fancy sun glasses, as worn by the Indian Cricketers. There is good demand for them in Hyderabad also. Presently the most of the small vendors are selling cheap imitations, which are harmful to the eyes. Hence if could able to supply a couple of reputed brands, certainly you can do good business.

You can have both the whole sale as well as retail business, separately. In my opinion, you start a retail business in the beginning, until you know the market potential. Once you get the strong hold on the market, then think about the whole sale.

Please note that " RayBon " have already penetrated well in the market, with a host of authorised dealers ( even in Hyderabad ). Hence you have concentrate on other brands. Being in Saudi, you can approach some major players there and even at Dubai. Discuss with them. Get the required permission to import and market the same in South India.

Initially, you can have two show rooms, one at Hyderabad around Abids area and another in Secunderabad.

Plan properly and then enter. A visit to Hyderabad is a must, to study the market.
