  1. Cardio conditioning is a key factor simply because the opponent that is not willing to go toe to toe is going to keep their distance and use movement to counter your size and strength. So basically that means your chasing them around. So if your cardio is not up to it, you will burn out quickly and be left vunerable to their counter attacks and how big and strong you are wont matter a bit if you can't breath. Mother natures rule on this one. Interval training like sprints and shorts burst training is good for this, in combination with long distance for example 30 minutes to 1 hr on say a treadmill or bike keeping your heart rate between 120 to 140 or higher depending on your current condition. On other days you do short burst running like 20 yard sprints or shuttle runs. These are just a couple of ideas there tons of programs you can find on the net. I did this basic combo when I wrestled. Worked well for me.
