Question:

Optimum filter pump for my aquarium

I have a 70Liter aquarium which I am trying to have more plants than fish.

Any idea of what should be the hourly discharge capacity of the filter pump to be used not to disturb planting but also provide an efficient filtration.

Thanks.

  1. I would stick to around a 100 gph flow rate (378.5 liters per hour), I would not exceed that or else you may create to much current in the tank.  Below is a filter that would work perfect for you, it also has a flow control on it so you can turn the flow down if it is creating to much flow for you, hope this helps.
