  1. no..calls and sells in the stock market.

  2. Puts- the right to sell

    Calls-the right to buy

Both are used  for various trading startegies.  When you buy either put or call you loss is limited to the price of put/call and the gain can be ulimited.  When you sell then you know ahead how much you are likely to make, but the risks are unlimited!

  3. Not sure what your question is but....

Options .. Puts and Calls (not buys)...  are options to either sell or buy a security or a commodity at a specific price (strike price) up until a specific date (Option Expiration Date).

You can buy and option or you can write (sell) an option, therefore there are 4 positions you can take on any one option.  At first it can be quite confusing, and if you're confused then you shouldn't be investing in them.

Options are usually used in conjunction with a specific strategy and there are a lot of those.

Paper trading options at first is a good idea.

But, please, don't do anything- learn as much as you can first!
