Options other than a restraining order?

to cut a long story short, there's this guy that i know that lives in a different state. he stalked me (by calling me and emailing me) for years and i finally got him to leave me alone. now he's in juvie for drug related purposes and will be out a few months before he's 18. when he gets out, he's going to live with his older sister until he's 18 (knowing how lazy and worthless he is probably longer). the problem is, his sister is going to move into the town where i'm in, and i know he's going to stalk me again. he knows where i live and go to school too. so, how can i keep away from me legally? i've thought about a restraining order, but he has to know about it and i have to see him in court and stuff. i dont wanna even be on the same street with him, let alone the same room. so, are there any other options? thanks for all ur help

  1. For restraining orders, you do not have to be in the same room with him. A lawyer will be representing you while he is in the room and vice versa when you are.

Other options, I don't have any ideas other than carrying around pepper spray at all times (that is if he is a pushover). If he's tough, don't do anything other than a restraining order.

  2. you don't have to see him to get the order, and please show his picture to everyone who lives around you and explain your situation, you will be a lot safer with people looking out for you.

  3. NUmber one, he hasn't moved into your town yet!! Sounds like you are both under 18. NUmber two, who's paying the telephone bill? Your mom and Dad? then let them answer the phone, and tell them you don't want to talk to this person - ever! Number three! You can change your e-mail address, and when doing so, only give the new address out to people you really trust!! Only your parents can issue a restraining Order, as you are under 18 and living at home! If you see him, turn around and walk the other way! If he comes knocking on YOUR PARENTS HOUSE - and becomes a nuisance, THEN they can get a restraining Order against him! But, something just struck me! Is he going to be on parole? How can he leave the state he was arrested in?  I thought they had to remain in that state!  Any infraction commited by him will send him right back to juvie!

  4. i dont have good ideas sorry
