  1. yes,and no thy hear and sens with their ears.

  2. Yep, they're blind.

  3. No they can see, just not well. They have AMAZING hearing. They can hear something like 80hz.

  4. No bats can see but not very well...........they use like sonar to hunt sending out sounds and the time the sound takes to come back to them they can tell how far and big their prey is.

  5. This is a common misconception. Even though the eyes on many species are poorly developed, it is wrong to assume they are nearly blind. Vision is important to them as a navigational tool, especially for areas that are located beyond echolocation.

  6. bats have very good vision, well fruit bats do i think.

  7. No, They have night vision, but They interact very weird during the day.

  8. Or?  Can that be a miss spelling of are?  There ears?  Oh my!  I can only hope you are not a product of American education.

No, bats are not blind, they happen to be able to see very well.  They use their ears to pick up the echo of their audio transmission.  They send a sound, the sound bounces off the object, the ears sense the returning sound.  That info tells the bat whether or not the object is food or not.  The they use the echo returns to guide them to the object.

  9. Cat's aren't blind (and there's no way to "see" with your ears    lol)

  10. No species of bat is blind and some have excellent color vision.  Only some species of bats are capable of using echolocation to hunt for insect prey (new world) but most species of bats are actually frugiverous (both new world and old world) and the famous vampire bat is actually considered carniverous.

Echolocation is not a substitute for vision and is used only in certain circumstances which include the complete absence of light.  Although echolocation is used in hunting, a blind bat will never be able to make a kill because insects have evolved to hear the echolocation and take evasive manuvers.  So vision is extreamly important, even in echolocating bats (and it is called echolocation, not sonar).

  11. They're not completely blind but they have very poor vision. To see, they use bat sonar, which means they can hear sound waves and can tell when they bounce off of different objects or even predators.

  16. They use sound waves to track their pray.

  17. no bats are not blind many people think they are but tier not

  18. Yes, but they do not see with their ears the sound waves help them I think.

  19. BATS ARE NOT BLIND AND THEY HAVE SONAR.

  20. I think they have very poor eyesight.

If they didn't have eyesight than what are the eyes there for.

  21. they are blind and they use sonar to in effect 'see'. so basically they can tell from the sound of something how far it is away and use this to navagate around...dolphins also use sonar

  22. in a way...they have very poor vision but use sonar waves with there voices and it bounces off walls and they can sense how far the wave went inwhich have good hearing^_^
